About The Position

We are seeking an Associate Scientist to join Biogen’s Biologics Drug Discovery Team, and contribute to our mission to design, optimize, and develop therapeutics to improve the lives of patients with neurodegenerative disease. In this role, you will contribute to a cross-functional effort to identify and validate novel methods for enhancing delivery of therapeutic candidates to the central nervous system (CNS). Requirements

• Experience in in vivo animal handling, including cardiac perfusions, tissue extraction and dissection (brain, spinal cord and other tissues).
• Previous experience in handling and working with biologics is required.

Responsibilities

• Performing in vitro assays to assess CNS delivery/ targeting properties of various modalities such as therapeutic proteins, antisense oligonucleotides, viral vectors, and others.
• Assisting in in vivo PK/PD rodent studies by doing transcardial perfusions and tissue extractions.
• Tissue lysate preparation and conc measurement of various modalities using Elisa and MSD-based methods.
