About The Position

The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark is recruiting a full-time diagnostic radiologist to serve in an administrative capacity as Assistant Residency Program Director. Fellowship training in abdominal/body imager is preferred. We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level or higher to join our dynamic and evolving division. We serve a diverse community with a wide range of interesting cases. We are a collegial department that values education of residents, clinical excellence, and faculty personal growth and well-being. The Department of Radiology has 39 clinical and research faculty members who provide patient care for all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. The department will undergo a residency program merger with a total of 46 diagnostic radiology residents rotating through 4 clinical sites as of July 2024. The position will offer a market competitive salary and excellent benefits. 20% protected nonclinical time will be provided to serve in a leadership capacity as assistant residency program director. The department is responsible for all aspects of diagnostic imaging at University Hospital, a tertiary care center as well as the Doctor’s Office Center, an outpatient facility on campus. University Hospital is a liver transplant center and a Level 1 trauma center comprising of state-of-the-art equipment and employs medical and dental professionals who are specialists in their field.
