About the role Corebridge Financial Private Credit Group (“PCG”) invests across several asset classes, including Corporate Privates (“CP”), Infrastructure, Structured Credit (Asset Backed Securities and Collateralized Loan Obligations) and Direct Lending. This position reports to a Managing Director, SVP or VP on the Structured Credit team and will work closely with other team members, as well as external placement agents, issuers, and lawyers. The posted Investment Associate position is for an investment professional covering CLOs on the Structured Credit team. The analyst will be exposed to all aspects of the underwriting process and given the opportunity to develop fundamental fixed income investment skills. The main objective of PCG is to add value to our internal Corebridge Financial subsidiary clients and external clients by effectively managing a portion of their capital. Specifically, the position will entail working with other CLO team members on the Structured Credit team to: Make investment recommendations and manage existing CLO holdings across the US, European, and PC/MM CLO markets. Assist with internal reporting (e.g. quarterly OTTI and surveillance, monthly pricing) and special projects as assigned, ongoing development of the team’s analytics

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Proactive team player with intellectual curiosity and a positive attitude
  • Ability to take direction, take ownership of tasks and responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • High ethical standards, good judgment and flexibility in achieving goals
  • Proficient in Excel; computer programming skills, understanding of cash flow modeling (Intex), rating agency methodology are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting senior team members with transaction due diligence, specifically focusing on assessing collateral portfolios, transaction structure, legal documentation, and collateral manager performance; serve as primary contact with arranging banks for transaction diligence and communication about pipelines and other flows.
  • Presenting investment opportunities to team investment committee
  • Preparing weekly market commentaries that summarize key market trends across credit, securitized, and broader markets; generate relative value snapshots
  • Generating quarterly OTTI and surveillance reporting including documenting assumptions, running models and submitting memos and results
  • Creating and maintaining CLO research database; efficiently process and summarize large sets of data for performance and risk exposure reports
