Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Engineer Quality/Engineer Quality. This position will be located at our Aeronautics Sector in Palmdale, CA. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Mission Assurance organization. The selected candidate will develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Other duties include: Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Engineer Quality (T01) or Engineer Quality (T02)

Requirements

  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by August 2026.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering or similar STEM degree.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
  • Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
  • Be completing or has completed their Master's degree from an accredited institution by August 2026.
  • Be majoring in or having majored in list degree majors that are acceptable for position or similar STEM degree.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite).
  • Final approved U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special Access may be required to start.
