About The Position

This role offers a great chance to join a growing, dynamic, and supportive IT Strategic Enablement (ITSE) team within a fast-paced, global IT systems integrator. The position reports to the team lead and is suited for someone passionate about quality assurance and development. The role focuses on automating test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software products through meticulous testing and feedback. The Associate Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for automating test cases, designing and executing test plans, and identifying and documenting defects. This role involves collaborating with development teams to improve product quality and reporting on test results. Regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, but the Quality Assurance team also covers maintenance windows and team releases, which means some evening and weekend work on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year progressive experience in a related field
  • Development: JavaScript/Node.js/Vue.js/Angular.js, Java/Spring, Groovy/Grails, Apex/Salesforce.
  • QA Framework: Playwright, UI Path.
  • Testing: Vite, Ava, Jest, Protractor, Junit.
  • QA Test Management Tools: Octane/ALM, ServiceNow Test Management.
  • Database Technologies: MongoDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL.
  • Containers: Kubernetes, Docker, Cloud Foundry, OpenShift.
  • CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Codefresh.
  • Ability to design, read, write, and test code in multiple languages.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and run efficient SQL statements.
  • Ability to explain, break down, and solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills - able to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Result-driven and self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Working experience in software development, knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle, and/or Agile experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supports delivery teams through the automation of manual test cases against WWT custom and Oracle Enterprise Business Suite/Enterprise Resource Planning applications.
  • Writes and maintains software tests to reduce the cost of new features and maintenance
  • Collaborates with software developers, analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and identify potential issues.
  • Identifies, documents, and tracks software defects, working closely with development teams to resolve them.
  • Develops and maintains automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Contributes to team and organizational success through agile ceremonies, code reviews, chapter meetings, and cross-team efforts
  • Performs other tasks as identified by your manager to enable team success.
  • Grows into a larger role with WWT through the development of your technical skills and business understanding.
