About The Position

The Associate Quality Control Specialist is responsible for assisting with client supply shipments and the assembly of investigator kits, inventory of supplies, stocking and re-stocking of supplies upon receipt/distribution, departmental quality control functions, and other tasks as assigned. This role will be performed onsite at the Johnson City, TN LabConnect facility.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all Quality Control (QC) related tasks for the CTM department using an HR approved mode of competency assessment.
  • Manage Clinical Trial Materials QC workload as assigned.
  • Train incoming employees in departmental processes as related to their role and the requirements of the organization.
  • Print requisitions and documents from LIMS (Laboratory Information System) and SharePoint (Kit Supply and Site List).
  • Add correct forms to the Workorders email distribution.
  • Prioritize orders and shipments (Ground, Express, 2nd Day Express) to meet destination time.
  • Scan outbound shipments: individual kits and supplies; confirm expiration date and quantity.
  • Check kits and supplies to ensure that all items and visits are included in shipment, follow all requirements for the QC process and all QC orders.
  • Order and check incoming supplies: reconcile order and packing list, add to inventory and print lot number labels for product.
  • Answer incoming calls in a professional manner.
  • Generate professional email communication with sites, project managers, sponsors, order administration, logistics etc.
  • File and retrieve protocol files upon request.
  • Retrieve visit specific collection materials; obtain knowledge of various types of materials.
  • Ship outbound FedEx/DHL (IATA and DOT Certified).
  • Build kits accurately and efficiently and provide direction to other QC and CTMAs.
  • Print air bills (inbound and outbound) for FedEx, DHL, World Courier, etc.
  • Attend relevant organizational meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
