Position Summary: The Associate Quality Control Inspector will learn how to perform visual and dimensional inspection functions using inspection equipment, micrometers, calipers, and gauges for part dimensions. The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even-tempered, and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, flexibility, and maturity.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years related experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong attention for detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Data entry skills; must have knowledge of MS Excel & Outlook
  • Critical thinking; problem solving abilities
  • Must be able to follow and comply with safety and quality procedures

Responsibilities

  • Follow all inspection standard operating procedures outlined in Globus Medical’s quality policy
  • Ability to learn visual & dimensional product inspections of medical devices
  • Develop a keen eye for detecting and controlling nonconforming product
  • Learn to interpret raw material certificates and verify proper materials used in manufacturing of product
  • Interface with engineering staff as needed
  • Assist in other areas of the department as assigned
  • Possess ability to learn how to utilize measuring equipment, such as: thread and pin gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other measurement equipment.
  • Ability to learn product drawings and interpret dimensional specifications
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner, other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus
