About The Position

This positoin is located in Los Angeles County. Under general direction of a Business Taxes Administrator II, the Associate Property Appraiser in the Assessment Practices Survey Division serves as a member of a survey team that reviews the assessment practices and procedures of County Assessors' offices for compliance with property tax laws and rules. The incumbent focuses on issues involving the taxation of real property. The incumbent also conducts real property review appraisals as part of an assessment sampling program. This recruitment has been posted for more vacancies than currently exist as it may be used to fill additional identical vacancies which occur within 180 days of the closing date of this bulletin. Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for full or part-time telework for eligible candidates residing in California. Currently, per the California Budget Act of 2025, all Board of Equalization salaries are subject to the provisions of the State of California's Personal Leave Program. Requirements

Must be able to move/transport items weighing up to forty (40) pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Position requires employee to possess a valid: California Driver's License.
Position requires employee to maintain a State Board of Equalization (BOE) Appraiser Certificate including continuing education.
Computer proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent programs.
Ability to learn and apply property tax laws and rules.
