This role will be critical to supporting the work of the Software Operations & Support (SO&S) leadership as their team of 700 engineers work to maximize our customers’ productivity through expert problem resolution, clear guidance, and trusted partnerships. Your Day-to-Day The SO&S Business Operations Team is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that support the delivery of high-quality solutions and services. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on time and within scope, while ensuring strong collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Action-oriented and committed to driving quality results.
  • Knowledge/experience in Program/Project Management (PMBOK) methodology.
  • Ability to lead and influence others at all levels, including peers through senior management.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience working in technology environments.

  • Adaptability and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project planning, including scope definition, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams—Product Support, SaaS Operations, R&D, and leadership—to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues or roadblocks, and implement corrective actions to maintain momentum.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and communication with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Maintain project documentation, including plans, timelines, budgets, and reports.
  • Ensure projects adhere to PTC’s internal processes, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize workflows, tools, and project methodologies.
  • Support change management activities and help teams adopt new processes or technologies.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, or customers when applicable.
