As an Associate Project Manager , you will be empowered to bring your abilities and expertise to develop key programs and collaborate with other peers to execute best practices in the flow of high-profile nuclear projects. The ideal candidate for this position will have a high level of organization, excellent communication, and coordination skills in a safe and effective manner to keep projects on track while keeping relevant stakeholders informed of project progress and timelines.

Requirements

  • Advanced computer skills including the use of Office Suite and especially Excel
  • Advanced previous use and understanding of MRP systems, JDE a plus
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and distribute time sensitive and accurate data
  • Ability to blend multiple sources of data to formulate opinions, recommendations, and possesses analytical mindset
  • Comfortable holding others accountable to ensure successful delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve goals through influence, or escalate issues through proper channels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify roadblocks in engineering, material, operations, information flow and manage exceptions
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 0-2 years’ professional supply chain or related experience
  • Experience working with and interpreting orders, BOMS, routings, and inventory/ERP systems
  • Ability to remain in stationary position or standing position for prolonged periods and alternate between
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to, safety glasses, steel-toed or metatarsal-guarded shoes, and/or ear plugs, while working in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, and reach within hands and/or arm’s length.
  • Ability to repeat gross or fine manipulation that may include the use of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to perform close visual inspections of products, which may include specific vision requirements.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds in weight in all directions
  • Ability to occasionally reach overhead or at or below shoulder level
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, crouch, or kneel
  • Ability to constantly communicate with others to exchange information in person, via phone, or via use of computer.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or engineering
  • Experience using JDE E1

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and assist in the creation of comprehensive project plans/schedules.
  • Work with cross functional teams to determine if work should be outsourced due to plant capabilities, machining capacity, and cost effectiveness.
  • Monitor project progress and facilitate the flow of information between multiple departments to keep project timelines intact.
  • Proactively identify potential risks, assist in resolving issues, and help implement solutions to prevent project delays.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and maintain strong, collaborative relationships, both inside and outside the plant.
  • Ensure all deliveries meet required State, Federal, and Customer standards.
  • If necessary, facilitate scope changes.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify successes and opportunities for improvements.
