About The Position

UPMC is looking for an Associate Project Manager, IT to join their team. This will be a Hybrid role typically onsite one week per month, primarily at the Quantum building in Pittsburgh or the Southgate building in Harrisburg. As we approach go-live, there may be additional activities that require travel to other sites across our footprint. Strongly seeking candidates with previous EPIC experience, please highlight and illustrate any and all prior knowledge or experience with EPIC on your application/resume. Seeking local candidates or individuals in or around the state of PA. The role of the Associate Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. You will be supporting projects related to the UPMC Bridges Epic Implementation. Promote IT, Epic and operational collaboration with councils, workgroups, and go-live activities. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors, consultants and partners in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of project management through college studies or related work experience required.
  • Experience with Epic.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to shift priorities effectively.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in a similar technical/industry. Demonstrates financial awareness. Working knowledge of analytical and problem-solving techniques and tools.

  • Utilizes organizational and PMO processes and standards to provide consistent and excellent project management services. Understands the need and value to continually define and/or improve processes.
