The position supports the production environment by troubleshooting and helping to resolve reported incidents. The position acquires a knowledge base and understanding of policy applications and performs simple maintenance and modification of existing software programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Actively pursuing degree in IT related field.
- Basic knowledge of various programming skills and common business applications (MS Office, Outlook)
- Good interpersonal communications skills for dealing with users.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
- Must be a logical thinker with strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Supports the production environment by researching reported incidents and working with others as needed to bring the incident to conclusion.
- Under supervision and/or peer review, writes and maintains simple source code to accomplish tasks as outlined in project request documentation.
- Participates in the development, testing and implementation of new and modified programs to meet business system user needs.
- Provides documentation of program development and job flow.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Assists department with special projects and assignments.
