Let us show you how working in insurance is a rewarding adventure! Knowledge, skills, & Experience General Summary: The Associate Programmer is an entry-level programmer position. The position supports the production environment by troubleshooting and helping to resolve reported incidents. The position acquires a knowledge base and understanding of policy applications and performs simple maintenance and modification of existing software programs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Actively pursuing degree in IT related field.
  • Basic knowledge of various programming skills and common business applications (MS Office, Outlook)
  • Good interpersonal communications skills for dealing with users.
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
  • Must be a logical thinker with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the production environment by researching reported incidents and working with others as needed to bring the incident to conclusion.
  • Under supervision and/or peer review, writes and maintains simple source code to accomplish tasks as outlined in project request documentation.
  • Participates in the development, testing and implementation of new and modified programs to meet business system user needs.
  • Provides documentation of program development and job flow.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists department with special projects and assignments.
