About The Position

The Department of Neurosurgery at University of Colorado Denver, School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time Neurosurgeon. The position will be at the Associate Professor of Clinical Practice providing general neurosurgery services at both Anschutz and in community locations. He or she will participate in daily morning rounds, conferences, and grand rounds.

Requirements

MD/DO
Graduate of an accredited Neurosurgery residency
Fellowship trained in Neurosurgery specialty
10 years experience as a Neurosurgeon
Maintains or is eligible for Colorado State Medical License
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other physicians and staff at all levels throughout the institution.
Demonstrated leadership and commitment to fostering equitable and welcoming environments

Nice To Haves

Comfort performing a wide range of general neurosurgery procedures in adult patients.
Interest in growing both a practice at Anschutz and a community hospital-based practice.

Responsibilities

Serve as a neurosurgeon at Anschutz and in community location providing both general and specialized skills
See patients in clinic to review their case and determine suitability for surgery
Perform neurosurgery procedures on patients as determined by your medical/surgical expertise
Work with neurosurgery team to attain quality metrics set by Dept of Neurosurgery
Educate residents and fellows
Maintain all training, certifications, licensing to be up to date and able to practice
