About The Position

As an Associate Production team member in the Frankfort Department, you will break down carcasses into primal sections that end in our delicious, quality pork products. This factory position is needed for 8-10 hours a day, including some Saturdays. This manufacturing position earns a competitive wage of $19.50 per hour for first shift and $20.50 per hour for second shift.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Comfortable working with raw meat and/or carcass parts
  • Ability to safely work with knives (training is a plus!)
  • Able to operate or work near mechanical production equipment and/or cutting tools while standing on concrete floors for extended periods of time
  • Capable of performing the physical requirements of the position, including repetitive movement of grasping and pinching hands, flexing and extending arms, bending, twisting and lifting or exerting a force of at least 35 lbs.
  • Willing to work in cold production environments (around 20-40 degrees)
  • Must be able to work in wet, humid, and odorous factory environments
  • Work while wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Responsibilities

  • Team members will skin, trim, cut and debone our meat products, working with straight or mechanical knives, skinner, and other cutting tools to ensure Safe Quality Food (SQF).
  • Process, packaging, and boxing product according to production operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
  • Perform physically demanding factory work that requires attention to detail, strength, stamina, and good hand-eye coordination (while keeping safety as top priority).
  • Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers by maintaining a positive work atmosphere.
