About The Position

The Role ThoughtSpot is on a mission to make the world more fact-driven — and AI is at the center of how we get there. As an Associate Product Manager, you will help shape the next generation of ThoughtSpot's AI-powered analytics products, including the experiences built on ThoughtSpot CodeX, our developer platform for embedding intelligence directly into applications and workflows. You will work alongside senior PMs, engineers, and designers to define and deliver product experiences that make data exploration feel natural, intuitive, and powerful for every user — regardless of technical depth. This is an ideal role for a curious, data-savvy builder who is ready to grow quickly in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in product management, product operations, business analysis, or a closely related field — internship and co-op experience welcome
  • Genuine curiosity about AI, Generative AI, and how large language models are reshaping analytics, search, and developer tooling
  • Strong analytical mindset — you are comfortable with data, enjoy digging into metrics, and default to evidence-based thinking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complexity into clear, concise narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments — you don't wait to be told what to do
  • Spotters are expected to demonstrate AI literacy and workflow integration to include to ability to: Comfortably and confidently integrate artificial intelligence into their daily workflow to increase productivity and quality.
  • Hands-on experience to leverage AI tools (industry-leading LLMs) to increase productivity, automate routine tasks, and improve work quality.
  • Speak to the experience of using AI for research, content creation, and document summarization while maintaining ownership of judgment and final decisions.
  • Write effective prompts to get the most accurate and creative results from AI tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic familiarity with enterprise SaaS products or cloud-based analytics platforms is a plus
  • Exposure to or interest in developer platforms, APIs, or embedded analytics (relevant to ThoughtSpot CodeX) is a plus
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills — you follow through and close the loop
  • A genuine passion for building products that help people make smarter decisions with data

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior Product Managers to define and execute the roadmap for AI-powered and Generative AI features across ThoughtSpot's core platform and CodeX developer experiences
  • Develop a working understanding of AI/ML capabilities — including natural language querying, agentic workflows, and augmented insights — to contribute meaningfully to product decisions
  • Write clear, detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that enable engineering and design teams to build with confidence
  • Synthesize customer research, field feedback, and usage data to surface actionable insights that inform feature prioritization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and GTM teams to drive features from discovery through launch
  • Support go-to-market efforts by contributing to product collateral, internal enablement materials, demo narratives, and release communications
  • Track and report on key product metrics post-launch, identifying trends and flagging opportunities for iteration
  • Engage directly with customers and customer success teams to deepen understanding of real-world use cases and pain points
  • Assist in competitive analysis and market research to help ThoughtSpot maintain its edge in the AI analytics space
