About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Associate Product Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This position will be hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days home with approximately 25% travel anticipated. Relocation assistance available within the US. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power Solutions Division designs, manufactures, and services Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and electronic-based products to ensure power reliability in the most demanding applications. Our employees deliver mission-critical solutions to our customers’ most challenging energy management requirements. The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for managing assignments to meet objectives under the guidance of the Product Line Manager. Primary responsibilities at this level include product management of our power lithium-ion battery product, supporting the adjacent connectivity accessory products, performing analytics gathering and business analysis, coordinating the commercial SIOP process, forecasting, profit planning, strategic planning, leading cross-functional global teams, managing projects, new product execution and tracking and supporting the product line and overall product line growth, while engaging with a global product line team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in marketing, sales, program management or engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the electrical industry; power management experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a role that demonstrates analytical and leadership abilities, time management, positive direct customer interaction and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Experience with commercial electrical codes and standards such as UL and CSA
  • Experience with SIOP processes
  • Strong collaborative skills; ability to successfully work in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to drive process improvements
  • Demonstrated success in: a) driving zero incident safety culture; b) performance results; c) building high performance teams; d) leading cross-functionally; e) developing and retaining leaders; f) driving organizational change.

Responsibilities

  • Drive data center power distribution services growth program, including coordinating with presales support (inside sales engineering) and post-sales engineering, supply chain, and operations to ensure delivery of solutions (standard and custom) in a timely manner to meet customer timelines
  • Support Field Service pipeline reporting & process improvements
  • Support high touch jobs for the Data Center Power Distribution (DCPD) Division of Eaton by executing on construction verification (drawings & sometimes on-site evaluation), reviewing custom engineering, coordinating with supply chain and reviewing operations team work instructions/standards of work.
  • Execute internal project management across multiple functions including but not limited to engineering, supply chain management and field service operations.
  • Support the product line by implementing strategic product and business plans targeting markets, industries and customers
  • Work with the product line manager and product managers to improve profit and return on investment of product lines
  • Support the product line with forecasting of sales, operating profit and inventory
  • Support the product line with profit and strategic planning
  • Lead new solution development activities with assistance from both the Product Line Manager and Product Managers.
  • Develop product promotion and commercialization plans including sales tools, literature, and training
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects within the product management team as well as cross-functionally
  • Support the Product Line Manager and Product Managers in ensuring alignment and collaboration towards profitable growth
