Job Title: Associate Product Engineer Reporting To: Lead, Technical - Solenoid Work Schedule: Onsite – Buffalo, NY Moog’s Fluids Controls Group leads multi-disciplinary teams to develop solutions for complex technical applications in the rapidly growing Space Sector. In this role, you will be working on a variety of development and production programs where you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity, quality, and production of assigned Space products including: Rocket engine components and fluid control devices for bi-propellant, mono-propellant and cryogenic rocket engines Valves for environmental control and life support on crewed space vehicles High performance fluid control valves and systems for other space applications

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or comparable field of technology and 0-3 years of experience.
  • The ability to write work instructions
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with manufacturing, assembly and test teammates.
  • Have self-starting instincts, solid analytical skills, and a strong sense of ownership for responsible products.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, pressurized systems or valve experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assembly/test instructions, training and monitoring to maintain production.
  • Assure and maintain design integrity, producibility and quality in development and production products.
  • Develop and improve tools, fixtures and test equipment.
  • Perform engineering analysis to assess non-conformances or technical issues that occur during assembly and test.
  • Develop RCCA analyses that ensure long-term solutions to prevent recurring problems.
  • Contribute to customer presentations or technical review meetings.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to work through roadblocks and ensure on-time delivery of hardware.
  • Participate in hands on prototyping of new products during the development phase working closely with the design team.
