About The Position

The Associate Principal of Quality Assuranceis a highly skilled individual contributor with deep expertise in revenue cycle processes. This rolemonitors all areas of the revenue cycleby performing audits, monitoringapplicable reportingand collaborating on themaintenance ofprocessdocumentation. The Associate Principalprovides recurring reports to senior leadership on the auditresults and quality outcomes. Under the guidance of the RCM Director, the Principal addresses gaps, plans and executes initiatives, and reports outcomes related toRCM QA. The Associate Principal designs and implements solutions to meet business goals through team collaboration and works with leadership to ensure efficient processes with measurable outcomes.The Associate Principal is responsible for the timely preparation, accuracy, completeness, and presentation of reports and analyses related to RCM Quality Assurance.The Associate Principal collaborates with RCM Directors and Managers to achieve departmental and company goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years in Revenue Cycle Management across core functions.
  • 2+ years in a role supporting leadership or managing key operational responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a focus on results.
  • Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and healthcare billing regulations including Medicare.
  • Proficiencywith MS Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Consistent, dependable attendance.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform individual audits across all RCM Functions, directly and in collaboration withRCM Leadership.
  • Develop and revise audit templates within USMON.
  • Monitor audit results and report to leaders, providing data to drive staff development.
  • Identify areas for improvement within audits or process documentation.
  • Review RCM activities to ensure the documented processes are being followed and meet current business needs.
  • Providerecurring summaries and reporting on QA to RCM Leadership.
  • Reviewe existing documents related toprocesses and policies within RCM, provide input andrecommendimprovements for existing documentation.
  • Identify gaps in process documentation and collaborate with leadership todraft, revise and implement needed documents, including Standard Operating Procedures,Workflows, and Policies.
  • Submitrecurringprogress reports onquality outcomes, noting impacts and areas for improvement.
  • Inform Company executives and RCM Leadership about opportunities and suggest process enhancements.
  • Encourage team engagement, recognize employees, and support overcoming challenges.
  • Represent the RCM function in cross-functional projects, contributing to enterprise-wide business planning, systems implementation, and change management initiatives.
  • Offer guidance to team members and peers to foster a culture of learning, accountability,and excellence.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, minimize waste,and improve financial performance.
  • Perform other duties asidentified and assigned.
