About The Position

The Associate Patternmaker is primarily responsible for creating original patterns of Lilly Pulitzer branded merchandise and to support the day-to-day functioning of the Sample Room. The Sample Room is responsible for executing and altering samples at all major product development stages. A high degree of collaboration with cross-functional teams and other members of the Sample Room is necessary. A day in the life… Understand the Lilly Pulitzer customer, lifestyle, and positioning in the marketplace. Collaborate with Fashion Design and other cross-functional teams to execute samples with desired styling and fit at all stages of development as well as on other special projects as required. Draft and revise patterns utilizing the 2D and 3D functions of the Optitex system. Digitize patterns, lay and plot markers when needed. Assist in the cutting process. Maintain communication and follow-up with sample makers and outside departments. Work closely and in a timely matter with Technical Design in the transfer of patterns and samples. Assist with the general maintenance and organization of the Sample Room. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, embrace, and implement the new Brand Framework, fit with and actively use the Company Core Values. Requirements

  • A four-year college degree is required, preferably with a major/minor within Fashion Design or Technical Design.
  • 5 years of patternmaking experience, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Proficient skills in digital patternmaking and grading, in garment construction, in fit required for the contemporary customer and basic computer skills are required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient skills in Centric PLM are preferred for this position.
