About The Position

Associate Patient Services Specialist at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA. This position is Part Time and will work <40>-hour, Day shifts. Pre-registers and registers patients presenting to the hospital for inpatient and outpatient services. Conducts patient/guarantor interviews, explains hospital policies, financial responsibilities and patient's bill of rights. Facilitates the patient admission flow, including activities such as: patient identification, identification of accurate demographic information, and financial data retrieval of required signatures and documents. Enters the financial and admission data into the hospital information computer systems. Provides feedback to the manager on inaccurate/incomplete data collected to facilitate the provision of follow-up education. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Pass Admitting Services formal training and competency program within 90 days of hire.
  • 6 months Administrative experience in a healthcare office setting (physician's office, clinic or hospital).

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training: College or Vocational education.
  • Insurance experience in billing, verification or eligibility determination.
  • Experience in providing values-based customer service.
