About The Position

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opportunity for an Associate Order Management Representative at our East Chicago, IN office. As an Associate Order Management Representative at Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, you will be part of a team that is directly responsible for the entry and processing of varied customer purchase orders. This position is highly focused on data entry throughput, and reliant on accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. is the largest flat-rolled steel company and the largest iron ore pellet producer in North America. The Company is vertically integrated from mined raw materials, direct reduced iron, and ferrous scrap to primary steelmaking and downstream finishing, stamping, tooling, and tubing. Requirements

  • High School Diploma and 2 years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor’s degree
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate time management and organization skills
  • Effectively communicates with team internally and externally
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Nice To Haves

  • High volume order entry/processing experience
  • Knowledge in SAP or other ERP Systems

Responsibilities

  • Understand customer purchase order, contract, and/or part specification sheet requirements and how the information is applicable to the production of the steel
  • Enter orders using appropriate technologies into various entry systems
  • Review and check orders for discrepancies and/or errors, updating where appropriate
  • Develop knowledge of internal business processes and systems
  • Process customer order changes that impact the manufacturing/processing or shipment of the steel
  • Review and resolve order issues with internal stakeholders
  • Understand specific production plant capabilities
  • Other duties as assigned
