About The Position

The Muma College of Business operates in an exciting, vibrant, innovation-friendly environment. Over the past few years, USF received over $50 million from key donors to name the Muma College of Business, the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy, the Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management and Sustainability, the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program, the Collier Student Success Center, and the Nault Center for Entrepreneurship. Applications are welcomed from all areas focusing on human resource management research and teaching. Ideal candidates will target and publish in high-quality journals (i.e., UTD24/FT50 journals) and demonstrate excellence in teaching. The position will be housed within the School of Management. The School of Management offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in management and entrepreneurship and several graduate certificates. Faculty members may also teach in the MBA, Executive MBA, Executive Education, and DBA programs. The School offers a strong mix of collegiality and scholarship along with a friendly and welcoming environment. Faculty members are research-active, with recent publications in high-quality management journals.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate at the time of application in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching and academic research.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Associate or Professor.
  • A PhD in Business with specialization in human resource management from an AACSB (or international equivalent) accredited institution or a PhD in other related disciplines.
  • Evidence of ability to publish in top-level journals in human resource management and related disciplines.
  • Evidence of superior teaching ability.
  • Expectation that the candidate will contribute to the School of Management’s strategic initiatives.
  • Overall quality of the candidate as indicated by letters of reference and personal contacts.
