About The Position

Associate or Mid-Level Quality Engineer Company: Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our team located in Huntsville, AL! This position’s primary duties will be supporting BDS programs, including Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) performing First Article Inspection (FAI), Corrective Actions, Non-Conformance Review (NCR) disposition, review/approving/interpreting engineering drawing requirements, approving work instructions, and interfacing with customers and stakeholders. Position Responsibilities: Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved Works under general supervision

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Engineering Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action
• Experience working with Non-Conformance (NCR) processes
• Experience with First Article Inspections (i.e. AS9102)
• Experience reading, understanding, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

• Level 3 : 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years' experience presenting technical briefings to various audiences
• 1+ years' experience performing line stock checks
• 1+ years' experience leading or managing projects and/or teams
• Active U.S. Security Clearance
• Experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and multiple levels of leadership
• Experience working with and building cross functional teams and partnerships with multiple stakeholders within the company, including engineering

• Summary pay range for Associate - Level 2: $83,300 – $112,700
