About The Position

The Department of Chemistry at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, invites applications for a SUNY Empire Innovation Program faculty position in sustainable materials chemistry, as broadly defined, at the level of Associate or Full Professor . Candidates with research interests, in experimental and/or computational chemistry, involving materials for energy conversion and storage, materials that enable sustainable technologies, and/or materials that promote a cleaner environment, are especially encouraged to apply. This position is supported by SUNY’s Empire Innovation Program that funds the expansion of research excellence in strategic areas through the recruitment of top faculty that are recognized leaders of their fields. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a vigorous and federally funded research program, and is expected to be committed to teaching a diverse student body at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to serve the department, university, and discipline. Applications received by December 1, 2025 will be given priority consideration. The search will continue until the position is filled.
