Under the support of the District Ombudsperson, provides services and referrals to help prevent, identify, manage and/or resolve workplace conflict. Assists with mediation, neutral facilitation and negotiation while honoring the critical elements of an ombudsperson practice, which encompasses confidential, impartial, independent, non-retaliatory, fair and ethical facilitation of the problem-solving process. Guides or coaches individuals to deal directly with other parties, including the use of formal resolution resources of the organization, and helps individuals improve their skill and confidence in giving voice to their concerns directly.
