Program Development: Develops and administers the Health Services Activities for a specific office or region. Provides medical input and consulting services to UL management.Plans, develops and administers Health Services activities for a specific office or region. Creates and develops health and safety education programs. Develops health related articles and communications. Stakeholder Collaboration: Provides medical input and consulting services to UL Management at a specific location or region. Administers and coordinates the Medical Surveillance program including hearing conservation, respiratory, etc. Ensures OSHA medical surveillance regulatory requirements are met. (Note: may only apply to US job.) Supports the administration of Workers Compensation benefits program. (Note: may only apply to US job.) Other Duties: Provides medical services including basic medical treatment for workplace injuries and responding to medical emergencies. Assists with the management of the Health Services budget (as applicable to site and/or region). Read and follow the UL Solutions Business Code of Conduct, and follow all Physical Security and Cybersecurity practices University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in Nursing or a related discipline. State Licensed Registered Nurse (RN). 3 or more years industrial health nursing experience which includes managerial skills and Workers Compensation case management. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires periodic travel by car and/or airline (or other public transportation) to other UL Solutions sites as assigned and perform in-person audits/ inspections/ investigations in a wide variety of laboratory and office environments. Flexibility to work non-traditional business hours as needed. Travel required: up to 10-15%. Frequent use of computers and office equipment is required. Ability to stand and walk extensively (concrete floors) for up to 2 hour periods, several times a day is required. Ability to move safely over uneven terrain; ascend/descend stairs/ladders/scaffolding required. Ability to lift up to 30lbs assisted or unassisted, pushing; pulling; bending; reaching; handling; stooping; working in tight spaces and working in hot/cold environments will occasionally be required in lab, office and outside environments. Ability to recognize emergency situations and respond quickly. Ability to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment when required, while performing select duties.
