Job Description Location: New York, NY The associate newsletter editor supports The New Yorker’s newsletter department by managing a portfolio of newsletter products and playing a key role in the daily operation of the flagship newsletter. This role calls for a rigorous editor who is equally fluent in audience engagement: someone who understands subject-line optimization, personalization, segmentation, and life-cycle strategy, and who can use performance metrics to inform programming decisions and improve key KPIs. The ideal candidate brings strong writing skills and sharp news judgment, along with a deep interest in the topics regularly covered by The New Yorker. Fluency in A/B testing strategy and a data-informed approach to product optimization are strongly desired. This is a Guild position. A internal preferred candidate has been identified for this role.
