About The Position

We are looking to hire an Associate onto our Fulfillment Strategy & Operations pod to focus on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives. In this role, you will focus on improving the selection and pricing of items available to consumers across our Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and Retail businesses. Your work will help drive our selection strategy and accuracy, ensuring consumers consistently see the right items at the right prices on DoorDash. You will sit in the Catalog, Fulfillment, and Logistics group within our New Verticals Strategy & Operations organization and report into a Manager. This is an individual contributor position.

Requirements

  • You are an operator. You don’t hesitate to get in the weeds and operate at the lowest level of detail, but you’re also able to think long-term. You are excited to experience our operation firsthand to inform your strategy.
  • You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to think innovatively, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking.
  • You’re analytical. You possess a sharp analytical mind, and can extract and communicate meaningful insights from data to drive strategic decisions. You are comfortable with SQL and data visualization tools.
  • You have 1-3+ years of experience. You’ve succeeded in high-performing cultures (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, startups or a related experience).
  • You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze. You love working with data to drive business decision-making and are familiar with SQL.
  • Lead: You'll spearhead cross-functional projects, collaborating with Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to develop and implement tech solutions that increase selection across our New Vertical offerings.
  • Strategize: You will own and deliver on improving key selection metrics. You’ll create and execute quarterly and annual strategic plans aligned with product capabilities to elevate order quality.
  • Build: You will build strategic initiatives and drive innovation across our offerings; this can vary from AI-powered selection predictions to improving the Cx shopping experience. This means everything from high-level strategy to operational details.
