About The Position

Provides managerial oversight and operational leadership for the maintenance, reliability, and compliance of physical security and fire protection systems. Manages technicians responsible for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, fire alarm, and fire suppression systems to ensure life-safety readiness and business continuity. Oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, incident response, inspections, and regulatory compliance with applicable codes and AHJ requirements. Collaborates with internal stakeholders and vendors to support system performance, maintenance and capital planning. Provide managerial oversight for security and fire systems technicians responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, fire alarm, and fire suppression systems Establish maintenance strategies, performance expectations, and operational priorities to ensure system reliability, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance programs to support life-safety readiness and business continuity Oversee response to system failures, alarms, and service interruptions, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when required Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, policies, and authority-having-jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements Review and approve inspection results, maintenance documentation, and corrective action reports Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory agencies to support inspections, audits, and system certifications Manage technician staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluation Provide leadership and direction to promote safe work practices and adherence to organizational safety programs Support capital and O&M planning, budgeting, and lifecycle management for security and fire protection systems Monitor vendor and contractor performance, ensuring alignment with service agreements and organizational expectations Analyze performance metrics, maintenance trends, and incident data to drive continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with facilities, safety, IT, and security leadership to align system operations with organizational objectives Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, safety, security management, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of experience supporting physical security and/or fire protection systems operations
  • A nine (9) year combination of training, education, and/or experience supporting physical security a/or fire protection operations.
  • A valid driver's license is required prior to employment and must be maintained during employment

Nice To Haves

  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

Responsibilities
