About The Position

Role’s’ Mission: To help oversee the student leadership development and outreach ministries of the PAC, shepherding and equiping college students and leaders, according to the philosophy and direction of the church to the end that we have "well fed and well cared for sheep" (I Peter 5:2-3). Christ Chapel's Mission: “To stretch every involved person from the threshold of their spiritual pilgrimage toward becoming a fully-developing follower of Christ.” (Col 1:28-29). Role’s Reporting Relationship: This role reports to the College Campus Minister of Outreach Role Details: Full-time | Salaried | Exempt

Requirements

  • Must be a Christian with an Elder-qualified character (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
  • Must be a maturing believer who is obviously, consistently and increasingly manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in his daily walk with Christ (Galatians 5:22-23)
  • Must embrace Christ Chapel's doctrinal position and constitution without reservation and be an advocate of our philosophy of ministry both in public and in private
  • Must embrace a work philosophy of planning and delivering biblically-appropriate, God-honoring, grace-based outcomes
  • Must have a demonstrated "heart for people"
  • Must be a joy to supervise (Hebrews 13:17)
  • Must sense a calling primarily toward shepherding people within the local church.
  • Must sense God’s calling to Christ Chapel, both sides having a sense of His intertwining our hearts and lives together.
  • The completion of a bachelor-level degree from an accredited college is required.
  • Must have served for at least 1 year in a paid ministry role, or volunteer role with significant leadership demands.
  • Must have some experience discipling and equipping college students.

  • A willing and teachable heart for implementing large events and seasonal initiatives
  • A track record of initiative

Responsibilities

  • Shepherd Male Students Provide spiritual care, build intentional relationships, and foster growth through discipleship and community.
  • Equip & Develop Student Leaders (PAC) Recruit, train, and mentor PAC leaders; shape weekly trainings; and oversee the vision, structure, and culture of PAC in partnership with staff.
  • Support Outreach & Ministry Growth Engage new or unconnected students; help plan events and trips that invite, include, and deepen community.
  • Contribute to Team & Ministry Direction Collaborate with staff to set vision and strategy; provide insight and presence across the ministry.
