About The Position

As part of the continued expansion of the Jackson Health System, the Jackson Medical Group, a growing multi-specialty physician network of over 40 physicians who practice throughout Miami-Dade County at over 7 different specialty care centers seek to hire a General Cardiologist to join our highly regarded Jackson Heart Institute. Requirements

• Doctorate degree in Medicine is required.
• Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience.
• Valid Florida Medical License.
• DEA and board certification or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease are required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) (ACLS) for Healthcare Providers certification with at least 6 months validity required.

Nice To Haves

• Other specialty certifications related to specialty are a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning, diagnostic development, management and evaluation of medical/services at the clinic/center of responsibility.
• Provides and maintains JHS Standards towards continuous, intensive direct medical diagnosis, consultation, and health care services to JHS outpatients.
• Manage a cardiology clinic with average daily patient volume of 20-22 in the clinic.
• Care for general cardiology patients, primarily in office practice (approximately 3 days weekly) and in hospital (approximately 2 days weekly).
• Practice includes general, interventional and EP at each site.
