About The Position

Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring

advancing innovation where it matters most. The Associate Assembler will perform
a variety of tasks relating to production operations on electronics and/or
mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.

Requirements

• Must have meticulous hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Experience with mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read assembly drawings/procedures.
• Experience building under a microscope.
• Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures.
• Detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
• Work a flexible schedule in order to meet production and customer needs.
• Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• High School Diploma or GED and 2 years related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of manufacturing experience
• Electronics assembly and inspection experience
• IPC-610 experience
• Hands-on experience building PCs
• Hands-on experience with torque values and other mechanical rework
• Experience with cable management

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble and inspect electronic components per documented work instructions.
• Interpret job routers, written instructions, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings for assembly of electronics.
• Perform pass downs with outgoing/incoming shifts.
• Use calibrated hand and/or power tools, fixtures, etc.
• Perform various mechanical operations under a microscope up to 50% of the time
• Disassemble and re-assemble, modify, rework assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
• Use of epoxy to seal units and other mechanical methods
• Install and route cables in small form factor assemblies.
• Other duties as assigned.
