Look at career opportunities at Viasat today. The day-to-day Do you enjoy taking equipment apart and putting it back together, or fixing equipment when it isn’t working correctly? You will use your mechanical skills to assemble components for Viasat. If you can learn the job, we’ll train you to do it, and do it right, from documentation to following processes and procedures! Additional duties may be assigned. Work week is Monday through Friday (7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.) Available to work overtime as required.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in mechanical assembly (mechanical tools, drills, and impact tools, professional or personal)
  • Ability to follow instructions and read fabrication drawings
  • Ability to work with Bills of Material, Engineering Change Orders Ability to use Oracle
  • Ability to install bearings, gears, and motors.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outside at heights up to 100 feet
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • US government position. US Citizenship is required.
