About The Position

RiseWell Community Services is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Marketing & Communications to join their Development Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to elevate RiseWell’s voice, expand community engagement, and directly impact the individuals and communities served. The Associate Director will work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to lead and execute integrated marketing initiatives, strengthen brand presence, and tell the story of RiseWell’s programs and mission. This position is key in communicating the mission to donors, partners, the broader community, and staff across various departments through thoughtful, strategic, and creative communications. As part of a collaborative and mission-driven team, the Associate Director will contribute to the growth and visibility of the organization. The ideal candidate is a dynamic and creative professional who can balance strategy with hands-on execution, is a strong communicator, an organized project manager, and a self-starter excited to take ownership of projects while growing into a leadership role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or development, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities
  • Experience executing multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM/database systems, email marketing platforms, and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe) preferred
  • Experience coordinating vendors, consultants, or junior staff is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Marketing & Communications and Development team on departmental initiatives and strategic priorities
  • Lead execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, social media, events, and PR
  • Create and manage content including newsletters, impact stories, development communications, and promotional materials
  • Manage social media channels, including content planning, scheduling, engagement, and performance tracking
  • Maintain and update website and digital content
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and brand voice across all platforms
  • Collaborate with program staff and departments to promote services, events, updates, and success stories
  • Serve as a key internal and external marketing liaison
  • Coordinate with external vendors, PR partners, and consultants
  • Monitor analytics and campaign performance; provide insights and recommendations for optimization
  • Manage marketing calendars, timelines, and project workflows to ensure timely execution
  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems and databases
  • Coordinate internal requests for marketing materials (e.g., business cards, promotional items, event collateral) and partner with Purchasing to manage production, ordering, and distribution
  • Organize and maintain inventory of promotional materials
  • Collaborate on the planning and execution of fundraising events throughout the year
  • Assist with grant-related narratives and communications as needed
  • Identify opportunities to enhance visibility, engagement, partnerships, and outreach
  • Conduct research and outreach to support marketing and organizational initiatives
  • Write and edit articles, interviews, newsletters, and PR materials
  • Monitor online presence and respond to inquiries or coordinate follow-up as needed
  • Represent RiseWell at community events and engagement opportunities
  • Support community engagement efforts and event logistics, including registration and coordination
  • Assist with design requests (Canva, Adobe) and general marketing support
  • Manage administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, including Compliance Plan and False Claims Policy
  • Maintain proficiency in agency IT systems and stay current with industry trends
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
