As our Associate Manufacturing Engineer, you'll support HID's success by: Providing low level/immediate support to Mercury production to enable fulfillment by obtaining a good grasp of the existing operation solution platform (both SW and HW). Providing a technical and/or non-technical interface between the Contract Manufacturer and HID Manufacturing Engineering and Quality. Managing/supporting New Product Introduction transitions through design verification and into Contract Manufacturer production. Monitoring Production and Quality performance and work with the Contract Manufacturer to drive continuous improvement. Performing failure analysis on nonfunctioning HID products, understanding the root caused and addressing with appropriate teams and corrective actions; collecting data to drive continuous improvement and prevent reoccurrence of the same failures. Performing in-process inspection and on finished product at the contract manufacturer in accordance to HID products drawings and recording results on appropriate documentation; communicating any discrepancies to the person(s) responsible for root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action activities. Supporting Value Analysis/Value Engineering projects and workshops. Providing production line support including, but not limited to, implementing process improvements, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries. Ensuring Engineering Change Order to production parts and processes are being tracked and implemented accordingly. Reviewing, creating and/or implementing Document (DCN), Manufacturing (MCO) and/or Engineering (ECO) change orders when needed. Developing documented guidelines, work instructions (WRI) and training for manufacturing processes and/or equipment (tooling, fixturing, gages, etc) introduction as needed

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent technical school education in related discipline.
  • 0-2 years of manufacturing industry experience in Access Control, RFID Contactless card, Biometrics, Printers and Controllers.
  • Software proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel & Project, SolidWorks) is a must.
  • Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, bills of material (BOM), tech journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, C#, etc.) is a plus.
  • Exposure to database management systems is a plus.
