Associate Manufacturing Engineer
About The Position
The Boeing Precision Engagement Systems Team is currently looking for an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join the team based in Layton, UT. Strategic Deterrence Systems is in need of an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to provide manufacturing and planning support at our Layton Utah facility where we are supporting the Minuteman ICBM related spares and ground equipment related fabrication, integration, and test. This position will require the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies needed for the kitting, production, build and test of the spares and Minuteman related ground system equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies
- Participates as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the integration of technical solutions
- Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build
- Assists in implementing manufacturing plans
- Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts
- Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies
- Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience
