Workflow Development, NBATV
About The Position
In this role you will support NBATV & NBATV International by building, maintaining, and improving workflow tools that streamline scheduling grid creation, programming production support, asset management, distribution, streamlined communications, tracking and automated reporting. This position will work directly with the Programming/Scheduling team to support day-to-day scheduling and trafficking, as well as the Content Productions and Operations teams to define and manage workflows and processes supporting downstream creation, management and distribution of all NBATV programming.
Requirements
- Strong basketball knowledge and familiarity with NBA content workflows
- High proficiency in Google Sheets & Excel
- Experience with functions, data structures, and data analysis
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Highly responsive, proactive, and able to own tasks independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Google Apps Script, Python, JavaScript, or similar
- Understanding of APIs, web scraping, and basic web app concepts
- Comfort with automation and workflow-building tools
Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and improve NBATV and NBATVi workflows and processes
- Support NBATV grid creation, asset management and distribution workflows, including tracking, validation and program trafficking
- Build spreadsheet- and script-based tools, leveraging data to drive automation and improve workflow efficiency
- Build and support production operations workflows and process for all NBATV programmed content
- Automate recurring reports and summarize operational data
- Clean up and organize data across projects and content pipelines
- Troubleshoot workflow issues and reduce repetitive manual tasks
- Follow technology trends to enhance current processes
- Willingness to work nights and/or weekends when necessary
