About The Position

As an Associate Manager, Dry Production, you will coordinate and oversee operations. This includes production planning/scheduling, manufacturing, maintenance program, warehousing, shipping, and receiving, and personnel performance. You will ensure adherence to quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP/Food Safety pre-requisites and SQF System programs. The Associate Manager assists the V.P. & COO in establishing standards of performance, measuring results, determining workflow, and troubleshooting problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the food/flavor industry is required.
  • Production management and employee supervisory skills.
  • SAP experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of food products, processing techniques and equipment, and inspection procedures.
  • Understanding and able to enforce GMPs, quality, HACCP, and SQF 2000 system standards for food processing operations
  • Proficient computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to interpret formulas and processes associated with the manufacturing of formulas.
  • Experience scheduling multiple product lines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, effectively organize work and manage priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with a variety of internal and external contacts.

Nice To Haves

  • HACCP Training Certification is preferred.
  • OSHA compliant forklift and aerial lift operator's licenses are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production schedules and formulations aligned with customer requirements and shipping timelines.
  • Review daily batch paperwork for accuracy and resolve discrepancies quickly.
  • Coordinate daily with purchasing, customer service, and quality teams to ensure material availability and prevent operational conflicts.
  • Ensure accurate identification and control of materials throughout receiving, storage, staging, manufacturing, packaging, and shipping.
  • Partner with Quality to determine dispositions for non‑conforming materials and manage rework usage.
  • Monitor sanitation and Master Cleaning Schedule tasks, ensuring completion, documentation, and proper procedures.
  • Enforce cGMPs, ensure policy compliance, implement corrective actions, and support SQF certification requirements.
  • Provide onboarding training for new production, warehouse, and shipping/receiving personnel.
  • Assist in governmental, customer, and third‑party audits and ensure documentation readiness.
  • Participate in GMP and HACCP activities, including audits, CCP verification, deviation assessment, and annual HACCP review.
  • Support recall and mock‑recall processes through documentation and product retrieval.
  • Maintain food safety and food defense standards.
  • Oversee multi‑shift production teams, evaluating performance and providing training.
  • Coordinate plant maintenance activities, including contractors, permits, GMP compliance, and proper cleanup.
  • Ensure plant operations meet regulatory, health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Manage plant costs, efficiency, and productivity to support profitability.
