About The Position

The Consumer and Market Insights (CMI) Associate Manager uncovers meaningful insights from consumer, shopper, and point-of-sale data to fuel portfolio and brand growth for the US Ice Cream business. As part of the broader US CMI team, you will represent the voice of the consumer and translate data into actionable insights and compelling stories for growth. This role translates data into clear stories and recommendations, partnering across Marketing, Customer Development, Shopper Insights, and Category Strategy to inform decisions that shape the future of our brands.

Requirements

  • proficient in quantitative & qualitative research methods spanning innovation, creative, and market understanding.
  • Experience working with large syndicated data sets (POS, Panel, syndicated)
  • Strong analytical ability with experience turning data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Skilled storyteller able to connect multiple data sources into compelling narratives.
  • Strong project management skills; able to lead research projects end-to-end and manage external partners.
  • Solid business acumen with foundational understanding of the CPG landscape.
  • Demonstrated reliability, curiosity, collaboration, and positive attitude.
  • 3–5 years of experience in insights, analytics, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Circana, NIQ, Numerator preferred.
  • CPG experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze point-of-sale trends and performance drivers to identify opportunities and risks across the Ice Cream category and channels that support proactive decision-making.
  • Develop clear, compelling narratives that bring insights to life and influence marketing and commercial strategies
  • Integrate insights from multiple sources (POS, panel, syndicated, loyalty, primary research) to provide a holistic view of the consumer and marketplace.
  • Oversee management of syndicated research databases (e.g. Circana, NielsenIQ, Numerator) to ensure data integrity and usability for cross-functional partners.
  • Design and execute research projects aligned to business priorities, including defining objectives, methodology, and agency management.
  • Leverage insights to support innovation pipeline and development of brand campaigns/ creative.
  • Identify consumer unmet needs and white-space opportunities to inform innovation, renovation, and portfolio strategy.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner, elevating the impact and credibility of the CMI function.
  • Contribute to team capability building, best practices, and continuous improvement.
