Associate Manager Clinical Health Services - NJ LTSS Position Summary This Associate Manager opportunity is a fulltime telework position with up to 20% travel to anywhere within the state of New Jersey on as need basis to support the staff. Standard working hours: Monday -Friday, 8am to 5 pm EST. The Associate Manager role requires strong leadership skills and advanced clinical judgement, with critical thinking skills to support the delivery of comprehensive physical, behavioral health, and psychosocial wraparound services. This position is responsible for daily program oversight, including staff recruitment and retention, problem solving, and fostering collaboration both within and across departments. The Associate Manager will also engage directly with state partners to ensure alignment with program goals and regulatory expectations. The Associate Manager role shall be responsible for the management and supervision of the MLTSS Care Management staff. The role is responsible for the daily operations of the MLTSS Program and adherence to contractual requirements. The Associate Manager will oversee Care Managers (CM)s who are assigned to members in concentrated geographic areas. This includes members enrolled in enrolled in Managed Long-Term Services and Supports program (MLTSS) and/or Dual Special Needs Program (D-SNP/ FIDE).

Requirements

  • Must reside in the state of New Jersey in Somerset, Morris, Essex, Union or Hudson Count
  • Must possess reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time. Mileage is reimbursed per our company expense reimbursement policy
  • Must have one of the following active unrestricted NJ State Licensure RN, LSW, or LCSW
  • 1+ years of experience in care management (preferred experience with the MLTSS program), behavioral health, or integrated health care settings.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid and Medicare, including experience with MLTSS FIDE SNP membership.
  • 1+ years of previous leadership experience in a healthcare or managed care environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, analyze data to identify trends and gaps, and take proactive action to improve member outcomes and program performance
  • Proficiency in data-driven decision-making and performance monitoring
  • Experience collaborating with state agencies and external regulators (Vendors)
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Successful completion of the NJ Choice certification is a contingency of employment. As per NJ Division of Aging Services, Office of Community Choice Options guidance, an exam score of 80% or higher is required, along with successful completion of the State training modules, and field mentoring component
  • Minimum of an Associates degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Master’s degree required for Social Work

  • Familiarity with MLTSS, D-SNP/FIDE program and NJ Medicaid regulations
  • Strong understanding of person-centered service models
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a remote or geographically distributed environment, including proficiency with virtual collaboration tools, self‑management, and maintaining productivity with minimal supervision.
