May be required to read blueprints, perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and perform inspection procedures to verify work. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Skills typically acquired through 1-2 years related machining experience. Lathe and Mill operating experience is preferred.   Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.  Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available, including Associate Machine Operator, Machine Operator or Senior Machine Operator.
