Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • 1–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or equity research
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong sense of ownership

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or CFA designation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build and maintain detailed operating and valuation models to assess potential transactions, including DCF, precedent transactions, and comparable company analyses
  • Developing financial models to provide summaries, forecasts, and analyses on prospective acquisition targets
  • Due Diligence Support: Conduct financial due diligence, working directly with the target company management teams and advisors (investment bankers, legal counsel, consultants, etc.) to gather necessary information
  • Collaborate with functional groups across the organization to assemble internal insights on prospective acquisition targets
  • Deal Execution: Lead M&A deal execution, preparing investment memos, board presentations, and other materials for presentation to key internal stakeholders, including C-suite executives and CI’s Board of Directors
  • Support deal negotiations with target companies
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain and update the M&A pipeline and track key metrics
  • Integration Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support post-merger integration planning and execution.
  • Monitor and review the performance of acquired companies post-close
  • Assist with analysis and preparation of KPIs for management reporting as necessary
