About The Position

If you are motivated and believe in the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People," join our team! Position Overview: Knowledgeable of all internal systems to maintain and service existing loans. Able to process daily work and work specialized reports as assigned by management. Provide support and assistance to other Credit Union staff to ensure procedures are followed. Sort and distributes daily reports and incoming mail. Able to research returned mail and direct phone calls to the correct department. Knowledgeable of all loan products offered, associated documentation and caveats of each. Able to review loan documentation for accuracy and completeness, interpret reports, monitor/assess trends, identify process gaps, and provide summaries using management reporting tools.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Accounting. Additional five years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 0-2 years of experience in Mortgage or Loan Servicing, Customer Service, Cashiering, and GSE guidelines.
  • Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Actively supports/promotes changes geared toward department process improvement and growth.
  • Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by manager.
  • Exhibit independent work ethic with excellent analytical skills and the ability to conduct research.
  • Must be organized and able to manage detailed work accurately and timely.
  • Must be able to prioritize responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to change while prioritizing complex tasks and efficiently managing time.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Must possess a high level of self-control, self-confidence, positive attitude, and neat appearance.
  • Must be fluent in English and possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must understand and be dedicated to the Credit Union philosophy and willing to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policies established by the Credit Union.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Mortgage/Loan Servicing Experience
  • Black Knight/MSP experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Address phone/email/fax inquiries, questions, or concerns on consumer and mortgage loans.
  • Processing payoff quote requests, processing Verification of Account requests for consumer and mortgage loans.
  • Miscellaneous account maintenance. Assist with department reconciliation of daily transactions for end of day balancing.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
