About The Position

We are thrilled to welcome an Associate LNG Technician onto our Enbridge Gas Utah team (previously Dominion/Questar). While in this role, you will maintain and operate liquified, natural gas, plant, and facilities equipment to include engine-driven, reciprocating, natural gas compressors and ancillary equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, filters, instrumentation, and controls, etc.), piping, boilers, valves, storage tanks, reciprocating air compressors, auxiliary generators, and heaters. What you will do: Perform installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair of computer systems and microprocessor-based controls. Installs, calibrates, performs repairs hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, electronic, air-monitoring equipment, and air-monitoring instruments. Tests, repairs, and maintains regulatory and measurement equipment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 0-3 years of experience in maintaining and operating plants
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations
  • Basic computer skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Oral and written communication skills, instrumentation skills, and mathematical skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment or process problems
  • Ability to conduct site inspections or walk downs, including working at heights.
  • Exhibit basic math skills while operating small hand tools and following company safety rules and regulations
  • Show that you are an excellent verbal and written communicator who can develop skills in interpreting codes, regulations and practices
  • Work in a team environment under a team lead concept and will also be able to acquire LNG spill control and fire suppression certification within 2 years of hire.
  • Able to acquire and maintain medical clearance to perform certain job-related duties while also being able to a don a dust mask or SCBA respirator
  • Proficient with computer usage and sufficient skills in operating, programming, and auditing databases and other applications.
  • Military service members and veterans; appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined above.
  • High School/GED or an equivalent combination of education and proven related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education
  • Safety critical position subject to random drug testing.
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record that will be verified upon hire with the ability to drive a pick up truck, forklift, front end loader and other similar equipment
  • Must have the ability to work at various heights in day to day work
  • Job will require working overtime, weekends and holidays on rotating shifts
  • Grasping, kneeling, bending, crawling, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
