About The Position

Clyde & Co US LLP seeks litigation associates to join our growing insurance coverage litigation practice in Seattle. This practice provides strategic guidance to insurance companies on first-party and third-party coverage analysis and defends against alleged bad faith claims in Washington and other jurisdictions nationwide. What you'll do: Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies, draft coverage opinions, and provide coverage advice to clients. Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda. Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation. Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties. Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations. Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients. We're looking for someone who: Is admitted to practice in Washington State. Has experience in insurance coverage and coverage litigation or a commercial litigation background with an interest in insurance coverage work. Has excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills. Has strong organizational and time-management skills. Has the ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters. Has effective problem-solving skills. Has the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects. The salary range for this position is $125,000-$200,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
