The Learning Analyst for the Learning and Talent Development organization, supports the company’s workforce development initiatives by leveraging data to evaluate training programs, measure performance, and optimize learning outcomes. This role will collect, interpret, and visualize data from learning management systems (LMS), HRIS, and operational performance tools to provide actionable insights that enhance employee growth and support business goals in the building materials distribution industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in HR, L&D, or related corporate function.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, and similar tools).
  • Strong Excel and SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Cornerstone, Oracle) and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking abilities with a focus on data accuracy and quality.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a distribution, manufacturing, or construction-related industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience conducting program impact analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, and analyze learning and performance data from multiple sources (LMS, HRIS, sales systems, and operational databases).
  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports that track key L&D metrics such as participation rates, completion, engagement, knowledge retention, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Develop automated reporting processes to deliver real-time insights to L&D leaders and business stakeholders.
  • Support compliance training tracking and reporting to meet regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Partner with IT and HRIS teams to enhance data integrations and streamline L&D data pipelines.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality in compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with HR, Sales and Operations teams to align learning analytics with organizational priorities.
  • Present findings and visualizations to non-technical audiences, translating data into actionable insights for business leaders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs related to product knowledge, safety, sales, and leadership development.
  • Identify trends and gaps in learning outcomes across branches, roles, and regions.
  • Conduct pre- and post-training analyses to assess impact on KPIs (e.g., sales performance, participant satisfaction, completion rates, branch operations).
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve course design, delivery methods, and learning pathways.
