About The Position

Under general direction, manages multiple applications, systems, network, and/or telecommunications activities. Manage information systems throughout the organization, which includes programming, analysis, networking, data processing, and/or administration responsibilities of cell phones. Resolves Cellphone technical problems. Serve as key technical contact between infrastructure support teams, customers, vendors, and management for all communications technologies. Responsible for maintenance and communication of existing and new best practices, knowledge base, testing and documentation of the communications infrastructure. Monitors technological advancements to ensure that solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards as well as emerging business requirements. Manages the IT procurement and inventory management function within the IT department. Maintains records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization’s hardware and software. Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quantity throughout the product lifecycle. Monitors effectively both on a daily basis and long-term IT asset portfolio (software and technology related hardware with regard toto cost, control, risk, compliance, business performance objectives and IT Governance as established by the organization. Remains up-to-date on emerging technologies that would benefit UAMS and complements UAMS’s mission/goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 yrs IT job specific experience, Telecom or other relevant job experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A+ Certification, MTA, MCSA or MCSE
  • Knowledge in MS Office Tools: Word, Excel, Access and Power Point; and /or Microsoft Project
