The Difference You Make: The Associate, Investment Operations & Administration has a broad knowledge of the business and acts as the first point of reference for day-to-day queries as well as serves as a liaison to related areas. They work on activities and projects involving committees and/or senior management and may sometimes include the end-client. The incumbent focuses on maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures, while building towards becoming an area expert. Acts as an escalation point of contact for client issues or inquiries. Serves as a key subject matter expert and may oversee a small team as player/coach. Establishes, builds & maintains effective working relationships with key partners internal and external to the organization. Seeks to understand client’s business needs and deliverables. Responds to client issues, anticipates client needs. Drives the engagement of other partners as appropriate to solve client inquiries/issues. Identifies potential risks. Seasoned professional contributor with full ownership for one or more processes, projects or procedures. Works independently with limited supervision. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent. - Preferred.
  • 5+ Years Experience in Investment Industry either in Operations, Back Office support or field Financial Consulting or equivalent. - Required.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products.
  • Knowledge of and ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques and ability to understand, monitor, update, or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Knowledge of and ability to bring a reported problem to successful resolution.
  • Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
  • FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority): FINRA Series 7, Series 66 (or 63 & 65), Series 24 and Life and Health insurances - Preferred.

  • Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.
