Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience.
  • Previous internal or external experience performing a similar role is required.
  • General health insurance knowledge of products and/or services.
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks and processes accurately and completely; detail oriented.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and time management skills.
  • Identifies opportunities and takes action to build strategic relationships between work unit, division or department and other Blue Plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting with individuals having diverse professional backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate, support and ultimately own Host national account sales and retention by timely acknowledgement of Plan profile paper work.
  • Review notifications received from other Blue Plan for eligible custom pricing arrangements and analyze opportunities for reciprocal arrangements.
  • Provide notification to other Blue plans of updates and changes to plan and pricing. arrangements.
  • Complete and maintain the monthly preparation for Home renewals, including running system reports and continued learning of department process.
  • Monitor and release Network Alerts to stakeholders as needed.
  • Assist and support report execution for sales analytic tools from BCBS Association and Consortium Health Plans.
  • Monitor and coordinate assignments of requests submitted to the National Account Interplan Mailbox.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with national account/IPP contacts at Blue Plans to enable favorable negotiations and resolution of IPP issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
