This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Associate I, Automation Technical Support (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for handling complex tasks related to testing, installing, and maintaining automation/SCADA systems. You will contribute to advanced projects, make significant decisions, and influence project outcomes. In this role, a typical day will include: Handle complex tasks related to testing, installing, and maintaining automation/SCADA systems, including input/output signal hardware, controllers, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), networks, communication, database, and software. Contribute to the development of advanced projects using your growing expertise and problem-solving abilities. Make significant decisions within your project area, influencing project outcomes. Stay current with advances in automation and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) technologies. Adhere to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Maintain accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control. Complete all required training and meet individual job requirements to contribute to the overall compliance of the organization. Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.
